Driving School Terms and Conditions


Please read and sign these terms and conditions to say you agree with them to commence your driving lessons.

You must notify Your Instructor of any matters, which affect your ability or entitlement to have driving tuition, for example, but not limited, to any lack, loss, or invalid provisional licence.

Cancellations. If you wish to cancel a lesson, a minimum of 2 days notice prior notice should be given. Cancellations must be made directly to your instructor and you must make sure they have responded to your request. Your instructor may need to cancel late notice due to (but not limited to), Mechanical breakdown, weather conditions including but not limited to snow and severe icy weather and traffic delays beyond your instructors control. If you do not give 48 hours notice of cancellation your instructor will be entitled to charge for the lesson(s) concerned, but your instructor will endeavour to find an alternative lesson to avoid any charge. Any rescheduled lessons by must be taken as an addition lesson to the week it has been moved to otherwise it will be classed as a late cancellation and charged.

Lateness and Pickups. Your instructor will contact you if he is going to be more than 5 minutes late for your lesson. If your Instructor is going to be more than 30 minutes late then he reserves the right to postpone the lesson to another day within the next few days, if he cannot do this then the cancellation policy will be voided. If you are late your Instructor will try to contact you, but if he is unable to do so for whatever reason, he will wait a maximum of 15 minutes before abandoning the lesson and charging you for a late cancellation. A no-show will not be rescheduled and you will have to pay for the missed lesson. You may ask your Instructor to meet you and drop you off at any reasonable location. If your Instructor arrives at the incorrect location to pick you up, then the lesson time will start from the correct location, however if you give your Instructor the incorrect pick up location then the lesson time will start at the booked lesson start time and your Instructor will meet you at the correct location and this travel time will be included within your lesson.

Payments and Lesson Bookings. You must pay for tuition in advance or at the start of your driving lesson, by using one of the following methods: Payment by bank credit into your instructor’s bank account. (please ask for details prior to tuition taking place). Payment by cash in vehicle at the start of the lesson. Debit cards can also be accepted at the start of the lesson. PLEASE NOTE CHEQUES ARE NOT ACCEPTED AS PAYMENT. Payment by PayPal (send money to family or friends option to chris.price@live.co.uk)
Refunds may be requested on any unused lessons, these refunds will be calculated on the standard hourly rate that you were on at the time of request, less any discounts that was applied at the time of payment. Any refunds will be subject to an administration fee of no less than £25.00 and will only be paid via bank transfer.

Price Changes. The price of lessons, which have not been pre-paid as part of a block booking may be changed at any time. Pupils will always receive prior notice of such changes. The cost of pre-paid tuition is based on the lesson price in force at the time of booking and will be honoured for 12 months thereafter, irrespective of any price increase that may occur between the date of booking and when the lessons are taken. Any unused lessons remaining after 12 months have elapsed shall be void.


Liability Your instructor is not liable to you for any loss or damage caused where and to the extent that; there is no breach of a legal duty owed to you by the relevant person or body such loss or damage is not a reasonably foreseeable result of such a breach and such loss or damage, or increase in the same, results from any breach or omission by you any such loss or damage results from circumstances or matters outside of the reasonable control of the relevant person or body, Your instructor shall not, in any event, be liable for losses relating to any business interests you may have, including, without limitation, lost profits, loss of opportunity or business or business interruption. In the case of any claim on your instructor’s vehicle insurance caused by your deliberate negligence, will become your responsibility to cover any losses by your instructor including but not limited to vehicle insurance excess fees.
These Terms and Conditions may be changed without notice at any time.
